Passport and Travel Document Wallet: A proper place for the trip’s paperwork
A document wallet can keep passports, tickets and cards easier to find. Its layout should suit the traveller’s paperwork and the number of people whose documents they carry.

Establish what needs to fit
Someone travelling alone may want a slim passport cover; a family organiser has a larger job. Count the passports, cards and papers they normally carry before comparing pockets. Extra capacity is useful only if the filled wallet still fits comfortably in their bag.
Look at the closed dimensions and the actual pocket arrangement. A claim that it holds several passports tells little about how easily they can find one at a check. Important documents should fit without being forced or folded.
Make access straightforward
A zip closes around loose papers, whereas a flap offers a different balance of access and enclosure. A wrist strap may be convenient, but the traveller still needs a secure place to carry the wallet. Their travel backpack should have a suitable reachable pocket.
RFID-blocking wording or a small lock is not a guarantee against theft. The recipient may prefer to separate backup information and valuables rather than put every essential in one place.
Leave the organisation to them
Give the wallet empty so they can arrange their own documents. Choose a finish they like without guessing an itinerary or personal details. Copies of sensitive documents need not become part of the present.
For everyday cards and cash, an ordinary wallet may be enough. Choose this larger format when travel paperwork gives it a distinct useful purpose.
