Luggage Tag Set: Make a familiar bag easier to recognise

Luggage tags give similar-looking bags a clear identifying detail. Choose a manageable set with reliable attachments and space for the recipient’s own contact information.

Start with recognition

A colour they can spot is useful amongst a row of similar cases. A small matching set can label the bags they already use, making this a modest present without choosing new luggage for them. An ordinary tag is a label, not an electronic tracker.

The fastening matters more than an elaborate slogan. Compare the strap, buckle or cable with their bag handles and follow the maker’s closing instructions. Very large tags can be awkward or prone to catching.

Leave room for their details

A replaceable card should be straightforward to read and write on. A cover can keep details out of casual view while leaving them accessible when needed. Let the recipient decide what up-to-date contact information to include; their travel plans and full home address need not be added as part of a surprise.

  • Quantity: enough for their regular bags rather than a bulk pack.

  • Material: a flexible silicone or fabric tag, or a suitably finished rigid design.

  • Access: a closure they can open to update the card.

Pair it with the right expectation

A tag helps identify luggage but cannot prevent loss or promise that a bag will be returned. A luggage scale is a separate useful accessory for checking packed weight.

On a weekender bag or cabin case, the right attachment should sit neatly without obstructing the handle.
