Board Game Carry Bag: Help the games get to game night
A dedicated carrier can be useful for the board-game player who takes a stack to friends or a club. Choose around their actual boxes, route and carrying comfort, rather than an advertised game count.

Does their collection leave the house?
A board game carry bag is for someone who regularly takes whole boxed games to another house, a club or a games evening. It keeps the stack in one carrier, leaving the recipient to choose the games rather than juggle separate boxes.
It's less useful when their games stay at home or an existing bag already does the job. Check what they carry now and what, if anything, makes the journey awkward.
Check the fit with their usual games
Take the measurements of the largest box they normally bring, then the height of the stack. Use the bag's usable internal dimensions and leave enough room to get the boxes in and out. An outside measurement can include padding that reduces the space inside.
A stated capacity of several games is only an example: slim boxes, large square boxes and oversized editions pack differently. Added lid bands or protective sleeves also need to fit.
Weight: check the games and bag together against the maker's limit for the chosen carrying method.
Base and sides: look at reinforcement and padding, including how they support the bottom box.
Opening: a wide, accessible zip can make packing easier without scraping box corners.
Pockets: somewhere separate for a pen or scorepad may be useful, without needing a compartment for every accessory.
Think about the trip, and the return
For a short walk from the car, handles may be enough. For public transport or a longer walk, compare shoulder and backpack options and how the straps attach. A bag that fits a large stack may still be uncomfortable when it's full.
Check adjustment, handle placement and the empty bag's weight. If it folds down for storage, look at how the base is put back into place before loading it.
Keep lids secure and loose components contained inside their boxes. Padding can help, but it doesn't make the contents crushproof; water resistance also needs to be checked rather than treated as waterproofing.
Give the bag empty with its care and load instructions. Their favourite games already provide the contents, and a lighter, manageable stack can be more useful than filling the bag to capacity.
