Choose the drink before the gift box
Think about their usual cup: dark and cocoa-rich, sweet and milky, or something with a flavored twist. A smaller assortment of appealing drinks can make a better gift than a large box of flavors they will leave untouched.
Read what each sachet or bottle contains and how many drinks it makes. Some mixes need milk, while others are prepared with water. A set is most useful when the recipient can make it with ingredients and equipment they already have.
A few checks before choosing
Compare the number of servings, not just the number of packages.
Read ingredients and allergen information for every flavor.
Check preparation directions and any added milk or toppings needed.
Keep original labels and best-before information with the gift.
A warm choice for the person you drew
For Secret Santa, choose a modest assortment when you know they enjoy hot chocolate. A novelty flavor is an enjoyable extra only if it suits their tastes. Avoid assuming that an unfamiliar colleague can have every ingredient.
Gift boxes range from simple sachet collections to larger presentations. Choose by the drinks and value inside; a full assortment may be too bulky for a stocking even when the individual sachets are small.
