Bookbinding Board Pack: Give their next cover some structure
A pack of binder’s board supplies the firm covers for handmade books and albums, with thickness and dimensions chosen for the binding they plan.

Choose cover board, not packing cardboard
Binder's board gives a handmade hard cover its structure. Listings also use chipboard or grayboard, so read the stated thickness and intended use rather than relying on the name. Thin craft card and corrugated shipping cardboard make very different covers.
Thickness changes the whole binding. A sturdy board still needs to work with the hinge, covering material and size of the book. Match the project instructions or a board the recipient already uses; the thickest pack is not automatically the best.
Allow room for cutting and covering
Compare sheet dimensions with both covers, any separate spine piece and trimming allowances. A pack of small rectangles may be convenient for miniature books but wasteful or unusable for a larger album. Check the number of sheets, their flatness and whether they arrive protected from bent corners.
Pre-cut boards can save setup; larger sheets offer more flexibility if they have suitable cutting tools and space. Do not assume a basic craft knife will make thick board easy to cut. Cover cloth, adhesive and any cutting equipment are separate unless specifically included.
This is a useful material gift for someone who has chosen a binding project. A bookbinding kit is a different purchase for a beginner who needs the method and supplies together.
