Pick a service around how you listen
Amazon Music Unlimited is a personal music subscription for on-demand, ad-free listening. It can suit someone who wants to choose songs and albums rather than rely on shuffle playback, with downloads for offline listening on supported devices.
Before signing up, check the artists and albums you want, the app experience and the speakers you use. If your existing service already works well, a temporary offer alone may not be enough reason to change.
Music Prime and Music Unlimited are different
Amazon Music Prime is included with Prime and has playback restrictions, with some on-demand and offline exceptions. Music Unlimited is a separate subscription with more listening control. You do not have to be a Prime member to subscribe, although eligible Prime members can receive different prices or offers.
Compare the other Prime benefits before paying for two memberships. Choose for what you will use rather than assuming Unlimited comes with Prime.

Make sure the plan fits your devices
Individual, Family and Single Device plans have different rules. A Single Device plan is restricted; it is not a substitute for listening across your phone and every speaker. Check supported devices, simultaneous listening and household eligibility before choosing.
Offline listening means downloading supported music within the app; it does not mean buying tracks to keep outside the subscription. Check download limits and access before a trip.
An audiobook benefit is not a book to keep
Eligible Individual subscribers and the primary Family account holder can select an audiobook to listen to, with the selection replaceable monthly. Previous selections do not build a permanent collection. Replacing a title or ending the subscription removes that access.
If keeping chosen audiobooks is your priority, compare the membership rules carefully rather than assuming every listening plan works like buying a book.
Shopping for a music lover?
Treat the signup on this page as a personal subscription, not a gift membership to send to somebody else. Check the recipient’s existing service before buying a smart speaker or headphones; compatibility and comfort are more useful than another account they did not ask for.
A favorite album or a note about a concert you enjoyed together can make a music-related present personal without creating an ongoing bill.
Check the renewal before joining
Read the introductory period, the price afterwards and how to cancel in your Amazon Music settings. Existing and former subscribers may not qualify for a new-subscriber offer. The offer shown to your account is the one to use.
