A sticker activity book supplies the pictures and a place to use them: building scenes, matching shapes or following a small story. Choose the theme, handling and book size for the person opening it.

An activity, rather than an album
Look for stickers supplied with scenes or tasks to complete. An empty collecting album, a pack of decorative stickers and a sticker-by-number challenge serve different purposes. Preview a page so you know whether the child will be inventing a scene, matching an outline or following written instructions.
Will they manage the stickers themselves?
Large peel-off pieces are a different proposition from tiny numbered shapes. Consider hand control, reading and whether a grown-up will be sitting alongside. Follow the book’s age guidance; a friendly character on the cover does not establish suitability for a toddler.
Reusable and one-use are different gifts. Check whether stickers can be repositioned, what surfaces they belong on and whether the pages can close while a scene is in progress. Ordinary stickers may tear or lose their grip after being moved.
Choose a theme and format worth carrying
Animals, vehicles or a familiar story give the activity a reason to be opened. A mini book can occupy a journey or slip into a stocking, but its stickers may also be smaller. Compare the entire booklet or pack with the space available; a box of party-favor books is not the same purchase as one thoughtfully chosen activity.
